Faux Metal Ceiling Tiles

If you are lucky enough to own your home, you may be interested in these beautiful embossed faux metal ceiling tiles for a inexpensive yet bold transformation.  They are made from a type of Styrofoam called Polystyrene or PVC.  They aren't soft like Styrofoam but more like a hard plastic.  They are very easy to install and it wouldn't take very many to cover the ceiling of a small room if you want to do a low budget, high impact makeover.   They come in many different colors.. and you can even buy them white (which usually costs less) and paint them yourself.  You can purchase them in-store at places like Lowe's and Home Depot or you could get them online at several places. They are not really all that expensive considering how easy they are to install and the huge impact they can make.  Here are some photos:

More painted glass bottles!

I'm still trying to figure out the proper way to do things on a blog. When I'm looking at all these fabulous blogs out there I keep seeing where it says create a link by the comments section, I think what it means is it is creating a link to the post in a new blog post from me.. I am giving this a try.. we will see what happens. Ok, created link. Now:

Can't help but share this...because of my obsession with painted glass jars and vases. I ran across some more pretty glass bottle vases. These were made from wine bottles I think. See them at this cute little blog here:

glowbelly_steamboat_tan_lun_cheak_2_thumb_525xauto_20038.jpg

Is it a bowl or a table lamp? Only designer Tan Lun Cheak knows...

Actually, this very pretty centrepiece serves as both. Created for the traditional Chinese New Year family reunion dinner, the Glowbelly lamp is a modern take on the traditional steamboat design. The lamp is made of pyro-ceramics, a special glass used for cookware, and can withstand extreme temperature changes. We still think it's too pretty to use for eating...

The lamps are very light, thin and flexible, almost like paper. The minimal yet flowing design was achieved using a special glossy electroluminescent glow sheet.

These mood lamps are great for providing indirect light, whilst the contrast between the luminous and non-luminous surfaces creates a very striking effect.

Designed by Romolo Stanco and produced in Italy.

1 wall mounted norwegian light moose head by northern lighting Wall mounted Norwegian light moose head by Northern Lighting
Moo is a full scale wall-mounted Norwegian light moose head. Moo may be used both for indoor and outdoor decoration purposes. The figuratively shaped lamp body is made of poly-resin material, which gives a smooth and transparent flow of light. The bulbs placed inside the horns add an extra element of soft, sparkling and translucent light effect to the lamp. The inspiration behind the Moo lamp was found in northern Norway, -in the breathtaking scenery of Hamarøy, where both of the designers have summer houses. Here the moose is frequently seen passing close to the houses and even over the lawns. The designers hope Moo will stand out as a post-modern kitch trophy, making the viewer smile happily as they recognize this “king of the Norwegian forest”.
Price: £922.00 – buy.
