Pinkberry & Pendant Lights

Summer is most definitely on it's way out here in Boston. Waking up and hearing about temperatures in the 40s & 50s is NOT something I want to be thinking about right now. Ahh, what can you do? Personally, I've been cramming as many summertime memories as I can in my head, hoping it somehow fends off the colder weather -I'll let you know if I have any success!

One of my favorite summertime treats has got to be frozen yogurt...Pinkberry frozen yogurt to be exact. Pinkberry is an upscale franchise of frozen desert parlors headquartered in Los Angeles, with locations throughout Southern California and New York City. During my first trip to a Pinkberry in New York City - the first thing that struck me was their unique and modern decor! Standing out in particular were the funky, swirly pendant lights hanging over each the tables.


The LK172 series is truly a design masterpiece! Manufactured by Danish lighting company, Le Klint, this classic was designed by Poul Christiansen. As is characteristic of many Le Klint fixtures, each lamp in the LK172 series is handcrafted and features an artistically folded lamp shade. A perfect fit for a classy commercial establishment like Pinkberry, the lamp even kind of looks like a creamy swirl of soft serve - YUM! These versatile lamps are suited for both home and commercial use. With a beautiful lamp like this, I'd simply sit in my dining room and gaze into the light - instantly reminded of my favorite fro yo and of warm summer months. Of course, reality would hit the second I step outside and fall into the snow drift right off of my porch. Oh well. At this point, I'll take anything that reminds me of summer.
